I am presently senior scientist
at the CNRS, the
French National Center for Research, and based at Sisyphe (More
about Sisyphe), a joint CNRS-University
Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris 6) laboratory in Paris Latin Quarter.
From 1967 to 1990 I have been on the faculty of Paris 6. My first position was
at the field research station at Thonon les Bains (Haute Savoie) from 1967 to
1971, then in Paris Jussieu Campus from 1974 to 1976. In 1972-1973 I was a post-doc
at the INRS-Eau research institute in Quebec City (Canada). From 1977 to 1990
I worked in the Earth Science Laboratory of the Ecole Normale Supérieure
in Paris before joining the CNRS for a full-time research scientist position.
